meet dr. annie!

Dr. Annalee Fencl is a native of Northeast Iowa, growing up in rural Lawler. Annalee attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate studies, earning her Bachelors in Business Administration. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa and decided to further her training and successfully completed a two-year post-graduate residency specializing in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. While in dental school, Dr. Fencl received several awards for high academic and clinical achievement. She was elected by her instructors into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society.

Since opening in 2015, Dr. Fencl is proud to have expanded pediatric dental services offered to the families of NE Iowa and the tri-state area, including treatment under general anesthesia and with the aid of IV sedation. Other areas of interest include infant oral healthcare, such as treating lip and tongue-ties and supporting breastfeeding mothers, and helping guide anxious patients (and parents!) to create a positive dental experience. 

Dr. Fencl is a board-certified pediatric dentist, and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and Dubuque Dental Society.

One of her most proud achievements includes being nominated and chosen for the 2023 Iowa Head Start Excellence in Community Service Award. This award celebrates significant achievements and contributions through innovative community service to Head Start and Early Head Start children and families while addressing issues of poverty, early education and community health.

Dr. Fencl dedicates herself to providing the best dental care possible for her patients, ensuring that they have a positive and fun experience while learning to care for their own oral health. She is passionate about sharing oral health education, expanding dental services offered in the area and providing early access to high quality dental care for ALL children.

 
Dr. Fencl and her husband Cody have three children, Eloise, Franklin & George.
